Michael J. Fahy
Sharon Lobo attained over 25 years of working experience as an Architect in New York City prior to her founding Indus Architects PLLC in January of 2012. Ms. Lobo manages residential and commercial projects nationwide and provides clients with cost effective budgetary solutions to building renovations and new building construction. Ms. Lobo manages projects as a Principal in Charge, and directs the daily operation of the firm. Ms. Lobo also has extensive experience in expert witness, trial testimony, depositions and arbitration/mediation support. A graduate of the Cooper Union with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, Ms. Lobo is a registered Architect in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. She is also certified by the AIA and NCARB. She is a member of the ASTM, ABA and serves on the boards of several charitable organizations.
Prior to joining Indus, Mr. Fahy has served as principal and in senior leadership positions for a number of large architectural firms. The background and experience gained in performance in these senior management roles, as well as his thirty-plus years of architectural and real estate consulting expertise benefits Indus’ clients. Mr. Fahy also brings his extensive experience in construction and design to Indus’ expert witness projects. A graduate of New York Institute of Technology (Old Westbury Campus), with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, Mr. Fahy is licensed as an Architect in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut states. He is also AIA and NCARB certified.
Mr. Henriquez is responsible for project management and site inspections on waterproofing, code compliance and expert witness projects at Indus. Mr. Henriquez has a strong background in construction management and administration, with many years in residential and commercial renovations, rehabilitations and new buildings. A graduate of Syracuse University, with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, he is licensed, as an Architect, in New York State. Mr. Henriquez performs building code research, property conditions assessments, project team coordination and supervising junior staff members.
Mr. Freeman comes to Indus with over 14 years of construction experience. He has managed the day-to-day design and construction activities for residential and commercial projects across numerous project types. Mr. Freeman is experienced in managing consultants, contractors and junior staff while developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets and quality control. A graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, he is a Registered Architect in the states of New York and New Jersey and is NCARB certified. Mr. Freeman also maintains a LEED AP certification.
Ms. Vaughan is a licensed Architect with many years of residential architectural experience. She also has twenty plus years experience in construction management. She manages project budgets, schedules, consultants and deliverables. Ms. Vaughan excels in communicating effectively on construction sites and in design coordination meetings. She leads project teams with confidence and has a balanced approach to resolving construction conflicts.
Mr. Markiewicz comes to Indus Architect from four years of working at building envelope restoration firms in New York City and has extensive experience in Local Law 11 and exterior wall restoration projects. He has managed various projects in the construction industry, with services that included construction monitoring and administration to drafting and site conditions documentation. A graduate of CUNY City University of New York, with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, he is working towards obtaining his architectural license.
Ms. Jarmarwala is a Junior Architect who comes to Indus with a background in interior design. She is experienced in developing designs from the visioning and schematic conceptual design phase through and into Construction Documents. She is well versed in site investigations and performing construction progress inspections. Ms. Jarmarwala has completed many projects for residential and commercial interiors at Indus, and has performed various drafting and construction administration support roles. A graduate of The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design degree, she is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association.
Arvin Garay comes to Indus Architects with a strong background in technical architecture coupled with a keen design sensibility. An alumnus of the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, he is well versed in on-site construction monitoring and administration. Mr, Garay has the benefit of his experience in international architectural offices and brings a collaborative approach to design and construction phase. Mr. Garay is a valuable member of Indus’ multi-cultural team.
Ms. Sahney is a recent architectural graduate who has previously worked as an intern at Indus and is currently supporting the firm as a Junior Architect. She has been gaining field inspection and forensic analysis experience, as well as performing Autocad, Revit and other graphic design tasks. She uses SketchUp to produce renderings, perspective views and other modelling images. Ms. Sahney is a valuable member of the Indus team and is extremely proficient in assisting in large and complex tasks. A graduate of California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She is Suspended Scaffold trained and certified in New York City.
Mauton Whenu comes to Indus from a background of design and field inspections of educational facilities. He has extensive experience in the assessment of large projects for private and government projects. He has a strong knowledge of construction methods and detailing. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Ms. Anula is in her third summer internship with Indus Architects. She participates in large projects as an AutoCAD drafter. She also prepares cost estimate spreadsheets under the guidance of a licensed Architect. Ms. Anula is well read, interested in art history and enjoys international travel. She is an integral part of our project teams.
Mr. Fernandez has been with Indus Architects since its inception, in January 2012. He currently oversees much of the internal operations. With over twenty-five years’ experience in marketing and sales, Mr. Fernandez regularly strategizes with principal staff and ownership concerning the growth and direction of the company.
Ms. Patmon comes to Indus with a background in Human Resources and Bookkeeping at several large architectural firms in New York City. She is proficient in numerous software programs, and assists with project fee tracking and management. Ms. Patmon manages project and employee utilization efforts, and manages Accounts Receivables, vendors, and subconsultants. Ms. Patmon participates in project procurement and marketing efforts, and assists in day to day office management. Ms. Patmon is an invaluable member of the Indus team.
Tarrance Jones comes to Indus from a background of retail sales and marketing. His communication and interpersonal skills assist Indus in developing a strategic vision in marketing development. He has strong presentation skills and is adept in managing vendors, consultants and team members. He is highly motivated and is a valued member of the Indus team.
Ms. Gonzalez has recently joined the Indus Architect team as an Administrative Assistant. She is versed in computer graphics, website development, office administration and accounts receivable. Ms. Gonzalez assists in a myriad of office tasks and internal processes.
